I managed to get a bit done but not much.I'm hoping to finish it in the next few days.

We have been to the pictures a few times in the last week.Me and Simon went to see Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn on Friday.Then last night we took all 3 kids to see Arthur Christmas.
As it was Simon's Birthday I made him steak, mash and stuffed mushrooms.Then after gluten free chocolate cake it was sooooo nice.

I'm looking forward to Friday, I'm have my brows waxed (not all of them) and a luxury manicure.

I managed to stitch the second tea pot, it made me want to eat cake, it looks so yummy. Strangely stitching this is making me drink more cups of tea too.
It's my Birthday tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to it :0). I know I have some stitching goodies.I will post a picture of them next time.
Simon said, "Whatever stitching you finish before Christmas I will get it framed for you."So I want to get this done and maybe another one.The weather looks terrible for fireworks, so might stay in.

We have just had Sophie's parent's evening, she is writing her name and other things backwards so I will be helping her with that.She had a lot of time off last year from illness.

For me it's a good excuse not to feel guilty about sitting down to stitch, I'm always thinking I should be getting something done.

It's the first time I have done this :0). I have chosen Dictionary of Tea by Bothy Threads.So here is the before picture, I will post an update on Monday or Tuesday.

Since I last posted we have had two Birthdays Sophie is now 6 and Stephen is now 15 and Katie is 13.

On Sunday we went to the zoo with his work place.

Here are a few picture's of my garden.

My favourite is of Sophie on her bike, we found out a few month's ago that she has coeliac.She is now on the gluten free diet and doing well.She will have more test's in November to make sure everything is ok.

I decided to make my garden a bit nicer, most of it will be in pot's like these Lilly's.We do have a small raised bed but the soil is all clay.So we are getting most of it out and starting again.I might plant some Rose's in there, as they are ment to like it.I have got few book's from the library to help me.

I love bright colours.

The smell of theses Lilly's are so lovely.

I haven't done any stitching latley, but hope to soon.

Next months ATC's and Birthday cards.Love and something sweet.

I'm sat here freezing at the moment waiting for a man to come and fix the heating!So not very happy :0(.
Trying to remember what we have been up to.....Last Sunday we went to see Cinderella at the panto.Sophie got called up on stage to help buttons sing old MacDonald had a farm,it was so funny, everyone was laughing.Wish I could have taken a camera, they gave her a little goodie bag at the end.

I have finished all my Christmas shopping and wrapping :o).I always go over the top at Christmas but that's all part of the fun isn't it?

Sophie has been ill quite a lot again so she has had a blood test. We are still waiting to hear about one result,but one came back saying she has an over active liver function so I will be talking to the doctor about that when the other test comes back.

My other little princess Katie (12) is away in Austria skiing.They are meant to be coming back sometime tomorrow but they stopped all coach travel in France yesterday.I don't now if it's all back to normal yet.

We are due more snow tonight!

We had some snow and more to come according to the weather forecast.
Me and Simon took the girls ice-skating in Brighton on Saturday.

They have an out door ice rink right next to the Brighton Pavilion.It looks so pretty all lit up in blue with a big Christmas tree at the end.

Me and Katie, she is much better than me at skating.Stephen was at a Friend's Birthday party so that's why he's not in any of the photo's.

After we got a nice Chinese take away to warm us up.
I have been stitching but not much, just done a few ATC's.Will put the photo's up next time.
Looking forward to putting the Christmas tree up and going to the Panto soon.

I have made a Christmas cake this year,it made the kitchen smell all Chrismassy.It looks quite good,I just have to finish it off a week before Christmas day.

Got another 900+ stitches done on this,not as much as I wanted but not too bad.
Here are all the HAED charts I got for my Birthday.

It was my Birthday on the 5th, hubby made me breakfast in bed and later we got an Indian takeaway from spice garden.I had a bit to much too drink!

Then Saturday was our anniversary and we went to Battle fireworks display.Ive never seen so many people in one place.It was a goodnight, the kids loved it but Sophie fell asleep and missed it all.

Thank you to everyone who sent me a Birthday card or ATC they are all great and I love the ATC holder it's beautiful.

Pumpkin pie

Hope everyone had a good Halloween : O.

I made my first Pumpkin pie and it was really yummy!
Sophie went to a fancy dress party and wore a little witch costume.All the kids looked spoooooky.
I have done so much cleaning and washing today (so much for a week off work).
I'm still stitching on my HAED and will post a picture up in a few days.
We got a dvd out tonight called 30 Days of Night, I hope this ones good as the last few haven't been all that.

Elephants ear

This is my progress so far on Serengeti Glow.About a quarter of a page.I can't believe how many colours are in just the ear! It's great seeing it grow in front of your eyes.
I had Sophie's parents evening today and she is doing really well.Had a look at her books and she has drawn all the family and labeled it even Woody and Kitty!

Big New start

Here is a picture of my new start (started on the 14th of October 2010).

It' a Heaven and Earth Design.

Called Serengeti Glow.I'm stitching it on 18 count Aida 2 over 1.I have started at the top left on the elephants ear.I love this picture so much and really want it hanging in the lounge when it's finished.The colours are amazing.I'll be posting photo's of my progress as it's a long term project that will take a few month's.I hope you will enjoy watching it grow!

It's back to work in the morning, don't know where this week went.

Here is my Row of Fairies finished at last!

I loved stitching on this because it is so bright and colourful.I hope you like it!

Me and my hubby have both booked a week off work but the kids seem to be keeping us busy.We had Stephens 14th Birthday on Monday and a hospital appointment for Sophie on the same day in Brighton.Then Tuesday the older two finished half day but had to go back in the evening to help out with open day and tomorrow I have to go to Katie's ski trip meeting.

Then there are kid's party's for the next month every weekend!

Hopefully we will manage to fit something in for us.

I hope everyone is OK and enjoying autumn.I love this time of year :o).
I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who leaves comments, they mean a lot to me and I love reading them.

I haven't added a photo of the mushroom because they came out rubbish!We will have to go back there soon.
It's coming up to my son's 14th Birthday (11th October) and I haven't got a clue what to get him.I don't really like just giving money.Going to have a look round town later.

Spooky

Sophie had a lovely 5th Birthday party, her she is in her dress.
And looking smart in her school uniform.

This is for next months ATC exchange it's meant to be fireworks and a bonfire.

The themes for this month were shades of blue, so I did the blue butterfly which came out really nice and the other two are Spooky for Halloween .

Today me and Simon went to the woods and saw some of them mushrooms, red with white spots,I think they are called Fly agaric. They look so good and remind me of fairy tales .I will post a photo next time.

Back to school

Today's been nice and warm so took Sophie to the park and meet up with a friend.Didn't get a lot done in the house though!Oh well.

My feet have been really painful for the last few months it's so annoying but not long until I have an appointment now (Tuesday).Hope they can do something.

It's back to school for Stephen and Katie in the morning.Then Sophie starts on Monday.

I have started my new job which is going well, looking forward to not having to work at the weekend!

Slow progress

This is what I have done so far on row of fairies, a bit slow but getting there.I have to stitch 3 more fairies and another mushroom and flower then add the star sequins.Pleased with what I have done.I should have more time on my hands soon as this is my last Saturday wahoooooo!Then after that I will only be working part time in the week 3 mornings.

On Wednesday we took the kid's to see Chitty Chitty bang bang and went out for a Chinese meal which we all enjoyed ( the diet starts tomorrow).

Row of Fairies WIP

Here are my ATC's, under the sea and holiday.Me and the kid's are enjoying the summer holiday.We went to see Toy Story 3 the other day it was really funny.
Today I took them swimming Sophie is getting really good with her arm band's now.After that we went to pizza hut and they ate load's and had the ice-cream factory.Then before I even got in Sophie asked to do baking! She has soooo much energy.I don't think we will be doing that today.

Here are this months ATC's.The themes were cartoon character's and hot colours.I like the top one's best as the last one was a bit rushed.I am glad the lady that runs this group is going to keep it going for at least another six months.

I'm really pleased with myself today as I went to the gym and burnt 430 calories!

I also took Sophie to playgroup this afternoon which is good.

I have quite a busy week ahead as I'm helping with the healthy lunch box's at the school on Friday, Sophie can't wait to have me with her for the morning.

So tired at the moment only had four hours sleep last night.

On a happy note I have booked Katie's 12th Birthday party at Lloyds Lanes.They will play one game of bowling and one game of Laserquest, have a meal and they do a cake with her name on.So she is very happy and can't wait.

We were meant to be going for a day out in the park today with friend's but as it was raining we couldn't.

So I went round to see Sarah, Sophie had a great time with her tiny kitten.

Later me and Katie went to our swimming lesson.I think we are getting a lot better.

Didn't manage to do any stitching today but hopefully tomorrow I will.The kid's should be going out for the day so I will only have Sophie here.

I am going to start the hedgehog again because I ran out of a colour, went to get some more (the same number) started stitching it and it looks as if it's a different shade!

Devils Dyke

As we were both off work today, we decided to go for a picnic.We went to Brighton Devils Dyke which is a beauty spot you can see for mile's.We took a big picnic, a tennis set and a rugby ball ( almost took the kitchen sink too! ).

I had heard of it but never been before it was really busy and hot.I think next time we go I will have a Sunday lunch in the pub there.

The kid's loved it, it was nice to feel relaxed with Sophie running around because I'm always tell her to stop running off lately.

I still have no stitching to show but have been rushed off me feet and worked all day yesterday.

Swimming lesson's

I have got sooo much done today ;0).I dropped Sophie off at nursery, then went to meet a personal trainer with a few other ladies.She had us walking, running, doing sit ups , press ups and pull ups with this big rubber band for an hour.It was so much fun.

After that picked Sophie up went home and cleaned the whole house.

Then me and Katie went to our first swimming lesson together she done really well.We can swim a little but not very confident with it.

I got in a little bit of stitching on my hedgehog.

Gym

Firstly here is my ATC's.The theme's were farm x2 and music x1.I stitched a pig and tractor and a guitar.I add button's and sticker's.

As I love cooking and eatting, I decided to join

the gym again (I used to go a few year's ago.Went on Tuesday and done really well :0).20 min's on the treadmill ,bike and cross trainer.

Last night we went to see Nightmare on Elm street.It was really good.I love horror's.

We have been back for over a week now, just been to busy to post!Had a lovely time in Egypt it was sooooooo hot got up to 102 at time's.We went on a few excursion's one was in a submarine.All the fish are amazing.Now I want to learn how to dive!We also had dinner under the star's in Sinai and we went to Petra, which was in Indiana Jones and the last crusade 3.The rest of the two week's was spent on the beach,snorkelling or by the pool.

As I am up to date with my exchanges I made something for me!

Here is the Egypt card I made to keep ( to remind me of the holiday).I really love the sparkly yellow card on this as it looks like sand.I added some button's a sun, flip-flops and a palm tree.

The frog one is to keep too just because I love frog's.I added ribbon and a frog button.I also have an Easter card to show but need to take a photo of it.

Yesterday we went on a 3 hour walk to beachy head.It was lovely getting the kids out and the weather was nice too.I love the light house on that walk, it looks so pretty.

After we were really hungry so went in Cosmo's restaurant for an all you can eat buffet, ate far too much but that was dinner and lunch sorted out lol.

Off to the dentist now, Simon's taken Sophie to the play group where you stay with them.

Love and romance

I hope you all had a good valentine's day.We had the morning together but Simon had to work that evening.He gave me a lovely card and a big teddy with I LOVE YOU on it.I got him a card and chocolate's.

Today I received the love and romance ATC's (bottom 3) and I love them.It's so nice having a theme and everyone comes back with really different designs.

Here are the cards I have made.The teddy one is for cute and cuddly and the middle one for st Patrick's day.

I also got a cross stitch kit called Mysteries of the deep (lots of colourful fish).That will hopefully remind me of my holiday in Egypt.

Took Sophie to a messy group today and she made Lot's of thing's out of junk.We are off to the cinema in the morning with the play group to see an old film Walle.We haven't seen it so that should be good.

I'm making good use of all the card making stuff I have bought lately and really enjoy small finishes.

Had a busy weekend, kid's all had friend's over.Worked all day Saturday, when I got home Simon cooked me a lovely curry.This morning we went to The Brighton centre.They had a stitch show on.I spent to much oooops but had a great time :0).Seeing all the kit's stitched up made me want to do mine.They looked so good.Could have got a lot more but had to stop some where.

Had a lovely time with Sophie and our friend's from the play group on Monday afternoon.It's the first time Sophie sat still though out all the singing at the end too :0).Normally she gets up and runs about!

Was meant to be taking her swimming today with them as well but she was sick yesterday so won't be going now.

She seems to get every illness going.Hope she grows out of it.

Simon goes back to work today, so he won't be off again until April for our holiday to Egypt.I can't wait!I need it.

I think I have gone a little over the top buying card making stuff whoops.Got a few Set's and some little bit's too.Now just have to find the time to use them lol.

Got to go and do the house work now, at least I don't have any ironing to do (did it last night).

I stitched this cup cake for the ATC exchange I'm in.I'm waiting for some stuff to come ribbon ,charm's ,button's ,sticker's and peel offs before I start making them up.I'm really enjoying do some tiny designs.

The kid's were off school again today!So we went to see Alvin and the chipmunks and then had KFC for dinner.

Sophie slept though the night for the first time since she was ill (before Christmas) :0).

I tried to get the new crochet mag but none of the shop's round here have it.So I will just have to get on with my stitching.

Off to watch another film in a bit, a horror called Wrong turn.

We have lots of it now like the rest of the country!

Hubby is still at work and has to walk home quite a way late tonight .I was at work all day today, came out at 5.00.Was on the way home and the car started sliding not to much but then got to my road and got stuck on the hill, had to jump out and ask this man to help me.He managed to get it up the hill for me.

Was soooooo glad to get home in the warm!

I have stitched this Winnie the pooh card from the latest card shop mag.I was going to use it for one of the Birthday exchange I'm in (ATC or Birthday card).I know it's only small but I'm pleased I managed to stitch it in one day.I had to put it away about 3 times as Sophie was sitting next to me linking arm's.

New year

This is my first finish of 2010 a very small Japanese lady.I have stitched this for a Birthday ATC group I'm in.So I will need to find some other things like sticker's, backing paper and other bit's and bob's for it.

For my New year's resolution's I would like to Lose some weight.I really want to do this within 3 months as that's when our holiday to Egypt is.

I would also like to have more finishes than last year, that should be easy.

I have got off to a good start to 2010 winning two giveaways Thank you to Michelle and Laural.I will post a photo when they arrive :0).

The kid's are back to school in the morning which I'm pleased about.So back to normal.I also want to spend quality time with Sophie before she goes to school full time in September.We did make chocolate chip cookie's today but I forgot to take a photo of them.

I did stitch on my cat today but not getting anywhere fast with it.

Christmas

Still here :).Hope you all had a lovely Christmas.Haven't been stitching at all lately.Will try and get some in later.I have been playing Jungle jewel on face book it's addictive.

We had quite a nice Christmas Lot's of presents and nice food, but Sophie is still not sleeping through the night.It feels like it's been going on for ages now, just want a good night's sleep!She wakes up 3 or 4 times every night.We got her a new Thomas night light and started a new bedtime routine, so I'm hoping that will start working soon.

Got some nice post today.A wrapped parcel came today and I haven't got a clue who it's from.If it's anyone who Read's my blog please let me know so I can thank you.It just says from Santa on the gift tag.I have been good and not opened it yet( don't know if I can wait till Christmas day lol.I also got a Some bunny chart from Jess.Thank you :0).

I'm missing Stephen already and he only went yesterday!Hope his having loads of fun in the snow.

Sophie had her nursery party today, she breaks up tomorrow and Katie finishes at 1.30 on Friday!I only have one more day at work left to do Saturday, but Simon is working right up until Christmas eve.

Last night we went to the panto with hubby's work.It was Jack and the bean stalk the kid's loved it and all got a box of chocolate's.After we went out for a meal in Brighton, we ended up in pizza hut lol.I was hoping for a roast dinner but it was lovely anyway.Been up ,most of the night with Sophie, she keeps getting in our bed.Hope she starts getting back to normal soon.She sleep ed all night before in her own bed with no trouble.

When my older too get back from school today we have to start packing.Stephen is off to Austria for 5 day's skiing with the school.I wish I was going with him.It's the first time he has been abroad without us.I'm going to miss him so much.

Nativity play and stitching

This is how much I have done so far on Cataflute(the white doesn't show up), not much I know.Hoping to get some done tonight.Sophie is still scared at night and won't go in her room without me.Hubby thinks it will takes a few more weeks for her to get over it.

I have to work all day tomorrow, but have a nice day planed on Sunday:0).We are going Christmas shopping in the morning, to the panto with Simon's work in the afternoon and then out for a Christmas meal.

Here are some photo's. The first one is our tree we put up the Christmas decorations today to cheer Sophie up :0).It looks better in real life.

The next is an exchange from the wocs forum, which is now hanging on our tree and look's great, Stephen and Katie both asked who had stitched it.

The third one is the exchange from Edit on http://exchangeheaven.blogspot.com/ the Christmas hanger is beautiful and will be put up every year.

I have decided to do a Menu plan once a week and here it is.

Saturday > Frankfurters in roll's chip's and sweetcorn.

Sunday > Roast Chicken.

Monday > Sheperds pie and cabbage.

Tuesday > Chicken stew done in the slow cooker.

Wednesday > Chicken Pie, mash and pea's.

Thursday > Prawn curry and rice.

Friday > Cheese pizza.

Worst night ever :0(

Sophie (4) has been ill for a few day's with a cough.On Thursday she had a temperature of 39 after nursery so we gave her some calpol she asked to go to bed at about 6.30.we keep ed checking her before we went to bed and gave more calpol.Anyway at 2am we got woken up by her screaming like I've Never heard before, I thought someone was in the house.Simon got to her first but she didn't recognise him, I got hold of her and hugged her holding her close to me I thought she must have had a really bad dream but then she keep ed looking around like she could see things and went back to being a baby screaming so much every time she thought she saw something coming near her, she just wasn't right.Simon called for an ambulance and I went with her to hospital.They said she has a virile infection and when the temperature goes to high you can start to hallucinate.The temperature went back down.They said to take her home and to let the doctor know in the morning.So I took her to the doctors and he said the same thing and that the infection can affect the brain (that's why she saw things).I have to keep an eye on her temperature.I had the day off work today to look after her. She is so scared all the time now looking round all the time, she can remember all of it and won't go to the toilet on her own.I'm just so glad I have my little girl back, she is still ill and scared but going to be OK.

Thank you to my stitcher Edit. I received a lovely Christmas hanger and some card toppers.With it a present to open on Christmas day.I will post a photo when hubby uploads them.

I have done most of my Christmas shopping today just Simon's to get and a few little bit's.I have also ordered a new Chocolate colour carpet the old one is cream, not a good colour when you have 3 kids and pet's.it should be fitted by next week:0).

Sophie's not well again so well be off nursery tomorrow.

New Kitten

Here is my kitten he is soooo cute.We called him kitty not very original but it's just what we all keeped calling him.I have managed to get woody (my dog) in the same room and they have sniffed each other.They look at each other but just walk past.I won't be leaving them alone together though.Not yet anyway.

I haven't done any stitching for a while but have started a new book called I did tell I did by Cassie Harte, it's about a little girl who never felt loved and bad things are happening to her.Very sad and it's a true story.

We had a nice roast dinner today Roast chicken, roast potatoes, stuffing, cabbage and leek, gravy and yorkshire pudding and we had apple pie and custard for dessert yummy.

Christmas crafts

Today I went to a Christmas craft workshop, with my friend Honey.It's run by the children's centre.They have a creche for the children (in the room next door) while the mum's do some art's and craft's.

Here's what I made.

A Christmas cracker, with hat, joke, snapper and toy inside.Made from a toilet roll and wrapped in tissue paper, then tide with ribbon.

The star is lolly pop stick's glued together sprayed silver and sprinkled with glitter.

The gift bag is made from a cereal packet wrapped in Christmas paper then hole punch out some holes and for the handles tide some ribbon on, the gift tag was made from an old Christmas card cut out with crinkle scissors.

The father Christmas napkin holder is made from white furry fabric and pink felt for the face with googly eyes stuck on.

The sliver star right in the middle is my favourite.Made from a cut out star then you sick bow pasta shape's all round, when it's dry you spray it with sliver and sprinkle with sliver glitter.Then tie and ribbon at the top.

I had a lovely time and would definitely go on another workshop.They do gardening, story sacks and other's.

We also went to Stephen's parent's evening, he's doing really well in all subject's :0 ).Needs to pay more attention in English though.

I have just finished this Christmas penguin card, a free cover kit from Card shop magazine.I love the bright colours in it.I finished it off with some stickers.I'm still stitching on Cataflute which is coming along very slowly.I will take a photo soon.I think I'm a really slow stitcher plus 3 kid's, 2 job's and pet's!

I'm getting my kitten on Friday, so I've had a clear out and put all my stitching away so the kitten won't get to it.

Seems like I'm doing a lot of picking up dropping off at the moment so in and out every few hours.It takes up so much time. Got a big shop coming from Tesco and parent's evening tomorrow.

Simon had a nice Birthday on 22nd.I cooked him a meal which everyone liked except Stephen, he is so fussy!

Christmas Exchange

Here is the Christmas exchange I received from Sadie. A lovely ornament and Christmas card I really love it, thank you so much.

It made me feel all Christmassy (I want to put the tree up now lol).

Also I wanted to show you my new kitten a Persian seal point boy, I can't wait to pick him up next weekend :o).This will be my frist cat so I'm very excited. I already have a dog and have been reading up on how to get them used to each other.Woody, my dog is a real softie.So should be ok after a week or two.I'm thinking of calling him smudge, coco or sky.

Not doing much tonight just staying in and making chicken curry, my favourite.

Exchange number two

Here is exchange number two.For a lady on The cross-stitching.com forum.For this exchange you had to make an ornament and make or buy a card.I stitched a little Christmas stocking out of a cross stitch magazine and made the card from the Lets make cards magazine,I don't buy it every month but had to get Decembers because it had fairy's in it :o).

I have been at work all day to day, got home to late to cook so had a take away curry and watched X factor.

While I was at work Simon made smarties cakes with Sophie, they came out really nice and she saved me 3 and wouldn't let anyone else eat them LOL.

Glad I am off work tomorrow.I need it, keep feeling tired early in the evening.

Pay it forward

Would anyone want to do a pay it forward? You have to stitch something for let's say three people. It can be anything you want and finished anyway as well. You have a year to send it them too, so you can do it at your leisure.If you get chosen you ask on your blog if anyone wants a PIF from you to send to them within the twelve months. Then they do the same and it carries on. Hope that make sense.If you want to be entered leave your name and email addy:) and I will pick some (if there is anyone)

This is what I stitched for Sadie, she received it this morning and is really happy with it :).I'm so glad, as it's the first one I have made up like this.Later we are all going to see a Christmas carol at cineworld (orange Wednesday:0) ) and then Simon is going to cook me a curry.He is off work now for 11 days so can help out a bit more.

Sainsbury's are doing a good deal on Wii's at the moment so we got one and Wii fit.I'm hoping this will encourage me.

New start

Tonight after work I decided to make a start on Margaret Sherry's Cataflute.I don't know why I love stitching cat's, but only have a dog???One day I'll get a cat : ). I really like all Margaret Sherry's designs.Anyway I got all my stitching stuff set up only to be running up and down the stair's after Sophie, wanting her toy dog, drink, kiss, cuddle ect..

I think she gone off to sleep now but I'm all stressed :(.Don't know if I'm in the mood now.

I got my hair cut yesterday and it feels so much better,I'm trying to grow the layer's out.They looked awful on me.I have been on my bike this week once for 45 minutes, hopefully I can manage to go on it again a few times.

Oh I also recieved a letter from swap bot and have stitched up a small design that I will use for a Christmas exchange if I'm in, still waiting to hear.

London

Had a great night out in London last night.We jumped on the train to Battersea park in London. Where they had a massive fireworks display, funfair and bonfire.Sophie didn't like the fireworks as they were toooo loud.We all loved them though, here are some photo's.After we went for a MC Donald's.We didn't get home until 12.30am.

Anniversary

Today is our 7th Wedding Anniversary (we have been together for 16 years).As it's wool for seven year's Simon got me a sheep, picture above, I got him a jumper :0) .

The photo above the sheep is my stitch stuff I got for my Birthday, apart from the two HAED's on the left but they came on the same day.Very pleased with all that.Just got to stitch one more ornament for another exchange.That will be three I've done.Then I can pick something new : ).

All I have done today is the food shopping.Was very good and didn't buy any chocolate and loads of housework (I gave myself yesterday off and paid for it today LOL)

It's my Birthday today,I'm 33 year's old.I have had a lovely day, I got Lot's of stitch goodies,chocolates, money, a jacket and clothes, earring's,perfume think that's it.I will post a photo of the stitch stuff up tomorrow.Oh and a sub to card shop.

We went shopping in the morning and had a Chinese takeaway tonight.So a good Birthday!

Kid's are back at school but Sophie has another day off nursery.I have finished stitching a Christmas ornament for Sadie, still got to make it up.Hope it comes out OK.This is the first one like this that I have done.

Kids are a lot better today :).We had a lovely day out with the local playgroup and went to see Aladdin.Sophie was very good.

Going out tonight too, to the cinema to see Michael Jackson This is it.

On the way back from town I had a look round C&H fabric's and got some Christmas fabric and ribbon for an ornament exchange I'm in.I'll be stitching that next so there won't be any photo's until my partner receives it.

I have also joined http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/10576 they have some wired and wonderful swaps!

I'm in two at the moment a pen pal one and a post card one,where you write your top ten craft blogs on two post cards and send it to two people.

This is my frog I finished today : ).I really enjoyed stitching it, a nice easy one with no back stitch!That reminds me I still have to do my Newton.

I got some nice post today too, it was my fabric and Newton kit.Just waiting for my HAED charts to come now.I really don't know what to stitch next, maybe a flower fairy kit.I will have a look in the morning.

Kids are off school for a week now, but they are still a bit ill.So only managed to get out to walk the dog today.

No Fireworks :(

We were meant to be going to a firework display tonight but I have two sick kid's.Sophie's got a high temperature and hasn't moved all afternoon, normally you can't stop her!

She's just asked to go to bed.Stephen has had it too but is feeling a bit better.

Katie my 11 year old has just started stitching a hello kitty design and is doing really well with it.She started it when I was at work this morning.I hope she finishes it and takes it up as a hobby.So we can stitch together LOL.

I have just ordered a few new bit's.Two charts from HAED Blushing Rose and Pink daydream.A kit from Newton's little uns called My balloon, 14 count Aida, Thread heaven and a small Christmas frame.

Now just have to wait for the post strike to be over before I can get my hands on them.

I have done a little bit of stitching today on my new start : ).It looks nice don't know what I'm going to do with it though!

Off to bed in a bit,got to be up for work early in the morning.

Back to normal

Simon went back to work today (after his op).So everything back to normal.I managed to get some stitching in this morning while Sophie was at nursery.She only goes for 2.1/2 hours ,so not much!

I have also left one of my job's as 3 was just toooo much,no time for anything else : (.

So I now have 2 part time job's.

Later we have to go to a meeting for Stephen's school trip to Austria.I'm looking forward to seeing what he will be getting up to,wish it was me going lol.

I'm also starting a new stitch piece today called Keroppi ,it's small and fun with no back stitch,so we will see how long it takes me.Simon's getting me 2 of the threads I need on his way home from work : ).

Night out

Me and hubby had a lovely romantic night out last night.He took me to my favorite restaurant Spice Garden : )

I had lamb memo for starters and chicken passanda and mushroom rice for main course,with a few glasses of wine yummy!

We were going to see a film too,but ended up getting DVDs to take home.

Stephen is off to his first late party tonight (11pm) and he is only 13 year's old :0.

Newton

I decided to go with Newton.It's called All Creatures Great and Small and is coming along nicely.I have so many Newton's in my to do pile.I've also done a Newton RR before which turned out really well and is hanging in my girls room.

I don't know how much stitching time I will get this week though because hubby is having a minor op today.So I will have to look after him for a week and do all the normal job's!

I've just finished this cover kit of Candyfloss,quite pleased with it.I really need to go to town to get some Aida fabric and a day light bulb.

I don't know weather to start a HAED or do my Newton.The HAED are so nice but really big.I'll have to think about that one.

Happy Birthday Stephen.

It's my son's 13th Birthday today, a teenager already.

We are having a lovely day.Went to see the film UP, it was really good a bit sad in bit's though.

I said we could eat out anywhere in Eastbourne and he chose KFC??????????????

Tried to get him to pick a nice restaurant but he wouldn't have it lol.Oh well it's his Birthday.

He has just had chocolate cake and is now on his xbox trying out the new games he got.

Cakes

I was stuck in all day today because Sophie is ill :(.So I have been baking and made these cakes.The top ones are fairy cakes decorated with butter icing and the other one's have chocolate spread on them.

The best one's were the Butterfly cakes they taste really yummy!

I have also been on my bike for 45 minutes and done some sit ups,at least I didn't just eat the cakes LOL!

I have managed to get a tiny bit of stitching done on candyfloss.

Here is another cover kit of Christmas Snoopy.I used to love the tv programme when I was little and had the teddy bear!

I love looking at other people's stitching and exchanges, so I have joined a Christmas exchange on a blog I read.Their work is so good, hope mine is good enough.

All I've done today is clean still got a bit to do and the dreaded ironing :(not doing that today though.Just getting everthing back in it's place after the decorating.

A blogging question, How do you get lots of people to read your blog?Do you send invites or wait untill they find it????

Getting fit

I have been working all day to day so no stitching to show : (,but will be doing some tomorrow as I have a day off : ).Just going to sit and watch Crank 2 high voltage with hubby.He has been painting our front room all day,it's looking nice.

I have decided I've got to get fit,so will be trying to exercise a few times a week and will be recording it on my blog too.

I have just started stitching Candyfloss from the Popcorn range.It's an old cover kit from card shop magazine, don't know if it's me or not but they never seem to put enough thread in.So I had to go all the way to town for a couple of thread's.

Anyway it's looking good.

I have joined another exchange for next year.It's a stitched Birthday one.So I get to stitch Lot's of nice little designs.I have been in one before and it's lovely to get lots of stitched card's on your Birthday.

I went shopping and got a few thing's for my card making and ATC's.I got a decoupage set some card topper's ATC card's and envelopes and stickers.

Have made a fairy ATC already.

We all went to see Cloudy with a chance of meat ball's tonight.Sophie was really good through the whole film (big bag of popcorn) which was nice.The film was really good too.

Lickle Ted

I haven't had much time for stitching lately with work,but did manage to get this Lickle Ted stitched up.

It took me about 4 hour's to do (it said 3 in the mag).I'm really pleased with it and might use it for an exchange or ATC swap I'm in.

I'm thinking about subscribing to Cross stitch card shop magazine as they alway's have a free gift (a card) and that will be good for me when I don't have a lot of time to stitch.

Wales

We had a great time in Wales,The camp site Trecco bay was brilliant it had everything we needed for a great time.No one wanted to come home except for my 12 year old son who missed his xbox grrrrrrrr!

There were lots of waterfall's which were really beautiful,picture above.We went on the beach quite a lot as it was really hot (got lucky with the weather for a change)The girl's had a ride on a horse and my son loved the sand dunes.

On the last day we visited show caves,They had waterfall's inside the caves.

After we all went swimming at the pool in the camp site.We ate out every day for breakfast,lunch and dinner and then went to the bar wth live entertainment.So I got out of cooking lol.Hope you like the picture's.

Hello this is my first post.I hope you will enjoy reading my up dates on crafting and other stuff (life).I'm busy packing today as we are off to Wales for a long weekend.We are staying in a caravan,hope the weather stays nice. Can't wait as we have been working so much.It will be nice to spend sometime together.Will write all about it when I get back.
